About S.E.E.D.S.

Service Education and Entrepreneurship in Downtown Spaces also known as S.E.E.D.S. is our youth educational program for middle school students. 30 participants are accepted into the program each summer during the months of June and July. S.E.E.D.S. participants work our North Pole garden space with the objective of seeing a crop from seed to table. From sowing the seeds, tending to the plants, harvesting, cleaning, cooking and tasting the food they have produced for the local food economy.

In 2021, participants will have the opportunity to grow, eat and learn at our historic London Ferrell Community Garden and our 1.7 acre urban farm. Everyone will learn about the nutrition and culinary applications of their garden grown products so that they can be better advocates for the community garden.
