Seedleaf Community Farm

The Seedleaf Community Farm is in the North Limestone Corridor at 1411 North Limestone, where you will find a nearly 2 acre farm, fit with a beautiful shed and pavilion space, a new cooler, and more. If arriving by car, it’s easiest to head to 150 Northland Drive and head to the end of the Biscayne Apartments.

Market Gardener Program

The Farm is home to the Seedleaf Market Gardener Program that equips interested growers with education, tools, land, and market outlets to sell their own produce. The program is one year long, however we are able to welcome back several previous gardeners this year due to additional growing space. In the 2022 season we expect 11 individuals to grow at the farm for their families and small farming businesses! Catch these growers at the Lexington Farmers Market on Saturdays starting in May.

Community Garden

Located in the portion of the farm closest to the neighboring apartment buildings, the community garden offers fresh food in spring and summer at no cost to anyone who frequents the space. Additionally, some of the after school programs Seedleaf accompanies occasionally use the space for educational opportunities.

Seedleaf Farming for Community Partners

In 2021 Seedleaf began growing veggies for community partners to use in their meal and produce distributions. We are happy to announce in 2022 we are tripling our growing space dedicated to partners like FoodChain and the Woodhill International Market.

On Farm Market and Community Event Space

The Community Farm was one stop along Lexington Philharmonic and Seedleaf’s Harvest and Hear event in 2021. In 2022 we hope to welcome more community programing at the farm, alongside on farm markets during the peak season.
