Seedleaf maintains 10 free, u-pick gardens that are open to everyone, including many of our neighbors in Lexington’s East End and West End who have limited access to fresh, healthy foods. Your gift means more people can harvest food when they need it.

We offer quality, hands-on programing to help diverse populations with varying growing experience learn horticultural skills. From the first seed to the first farm, we want folks to have what they need. In addition to gardening, we provide opportunities for people to connect to each other, the food they eat, and the land that we share.

We provide free resources to help people grow food in their own spaces, and we partner with schools and garden clubs to educate communities, spark a love of gardening, and encourage greater care for the land so more life can thrive.

Headwater Farm, 30 acres of pristine farmland, is located at the headwaters of the Elkhorn Creek in Northeastern Lexington, Kentucky. On this land we cultivate produce for community partners & support small local agribusiness in Lexington.

Seedleaf Community Farm is a 2 acre urban farm where we share land with beginning Market Gardeners and teach them how to sustainably grow on a larger scale.

Our vision for Headwater Farm and Seedleaf Community Farm is one that preserves the farmland and allows us to give back to the community on a much larger scale.

With the help of collective kindness, Seedleaf has reached milestones like never before, like starting a farm that empowers more growers and allows us to partner with additional organizations who are building a more equitable local food system for all.

Seedleaf is also helping more people provide nourishment for themselves and those they love through our free community gardens and quality programming.

• Providing a scalable public composting service to disrupt food waste channels and provide a product that fuels sustainable food production.
