We’re committed to being part of the solution to reduce food waste in central Kentucky. Seedleaf’s Compost Carpool program will focus on collecting discarded materials from restaurants, kitchens, horse farms, and cafeterias. These products will be converted in to a soil-building powerhouse—compost—and then used at Seedleaf growing sites and shared with community partners.
Composting keeps food out of landfills, sequesters carbon, and recycles nurtures back into the soil, furthering sustainable food production
and so much more.
Local waste will be used to grow local food!

The Starter package is for light producers, largely coffee shops. Seedleaf will provide weekly pick-ups of 1- 35 gallons bin of waste for $150/month.

Standard customers produce 70-140 gallons of waste weekly. Standard customers receive 3 35-Gallon bins and weekly collection of their bins for $250/month.

Premium Customers produce food waste in excess of 140 gallons weekly. Premium clients receive 6 35-gallon bins and receive twice-weekly service for $350/month.

For special events, customers receive 4 35-gallon bins. There is a flat charge of $150 per pick-up.

Seedleaf will provide monthly bin cleaning for $25/bin.
Additional bins beyond the tier allocation are available for an added monthly fee of $25

To show our dedication to stewardship and sustainability, Seedleaf is part of the EPA’s efforts to reduce food waste through its Feed It Onward (FIO) initiative. This initiative is a national platform to spotlight the farmers, businesses, nonprofits, military partners, and communities who are doing incredible work to ensure good food is being put to use instead of turned to waste.
Specifically, FIO reduces the environmental impact of food waste in landfills by connecting food donors and organizations leading efforts in food waste reduction with under-resourced communities.
