Nature Writing Series, Summer| June 1st
Come join us at Headwater Community Farm for an afternoon of nature writing with local author Em J Parsley who will be teaching on subjectivity in nature writing, humanity’s relationship with nature, and what it means to be a part of nature as we write about it. No writing experience necessary, just bring a notebook, a pencil, and your love of the natural world!

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Em J Parsley (they/them, he/him) is the author of the award-winning poetry chapbook THE ANONYM GOSPELS (April Gloaming Publishing, 2024) and the novella YOU, FROM BELOW (Split Lip Press, 2025). They received their MFA at the University of Texas at El Paso, were the 2024 Writer-in-Residence at Wormfarm Institute, and received Granta Magazine’s Nature Writing scholarship in 2025. He is interested in combining his agricultural, ecological, and creative practices to participate in material change in his communities.
