A hearty THANK YOU to the nearly 20 volunteers who showed up tonight to La Roca UMC for the First Annual Pumpkin Pie Party! Not only did 10 pumpkins sacrifice their lives for the event, but 20 pumpkin pies were made! And with over 10 extra cups of pumpkin puree, we’ve got stores now for the next Communal Cooking Event – SOUP Making!! Look for more details to come, and enjoy some of the highlights of the event below.
Again, much thanks to Reed Valley Orchard for growing and donating the pumpkins, the Lexington Urban Gleaning Network for picking them up, and The Rock/ La Roca UMC for providing the kitchen space!
